May Cottage
was converted from a
17th century cattle shed to the very highest standards, it is approx 140 square meters, has 2 bedrooms. a large
wet room, a separate WC, a kitchen with dishwasher, electric double oven, washing machine , fridge. The
large lounge has French oak floor,

Exposed natural walls and high rafted ceilings are found throughout giving a feeling
of space. Oil fired central heating and good insulation means you will never
be cold, even in the middle of Winter.
Views from the lounge look across to the 17th
century
Pub and beyond to the village church. The Pub not only provides fine beers
and wines but also an excellent menu to enjoy and comfortable surroundings
to relax in. |
Woodpecker cottage
is certainly not large but what it does not offer in
size it certainly makes up for in character. A weavers type cottage, it’s front door
opens directly on to horn street a very quite lane which runs towards the
castle. One of the best features of Woodpecker cottage is the
private rear
court yard which is a natural sun trap and at the bottom of this court yard
is a stream which runs down past the castle, there are steps down into the
stream and we have constructed a fence with a gate to stop smaller children
gaining access to the stream . Although the stream is not deep in Summer we
do advise
caution if you have children with you.
The cottage consists of
two bedrooms a family bathroom on the first floor and a living room and
fully equipped kitchen
downstairs.
Woodpecker
cottage has a lot to offer for a short break and represents good value for
money. .
